About the role

The HR Representative will serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding human-resources policies, processes, and programs. The individual will handle daily administrative HR tasks, assist in recruitment efforts, maintain employee records, and support employee-relations activities. A successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Employee relations: Act as the first line of support for employee inquiries, providing information on HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Recruitment support: Coordinate job postings, screen resumes, schedule interviews, and assist in the hiring process.
  • Onboarding & offboarding: Facilitate new-hire orientations, oversee paperwork completion, and maintain accurate employee records.
  • HR administration: Maintain and update employee files, track attendance, process HR documentation, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Policy implementation: Communicate and enforce organizational policies and procedures, assist in policy revisions, and promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  • Data management: Input and manage data within HRIS systems, generate standard HR reports, and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations, support audits, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in human resources or a similar administrative role.

Technical skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with HRIS or other HR-management systems is a plus.

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices.

Soft skills

  • Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Organization: strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving: capable of handling employee issues and resolving concerns with professionalism and tact.
  • Teamwork: willingness to collaborate with peers and other departments to achieve HR and organizational goals.
